So whether you like it or not another year has begun which means after the dismal December its finally time for music to get back on its feet again. Touring galore and debut albums agog its time to look ahead to what 2007 holds.

From 'Alicia Keys' to 'Ike and Tina' its not until this past year new songs have emerged complete with a full band and a kick up the backside. After the wonderful transformation of 'If You've Got the Money', a previous acoustic track its time for 'Panic Prevention' the debut album due for release on 29th January. For tour dates click here.

After the NME hype, the nu rave movements and the ridiculous clothes its about time Klaxons prove they can live up to the hype. Depending on this album's response nu rave could live or die. People will either resort to creating illegal raves in fields or backtrack to listening to Sir Bono.

People will either resort to creating illegal raves in fields or backtrack to listening to Sir Bono. Ok this may be a tad over the top but Klaxons now need to prove they're more than a good cover version with their album 'Myths of the Near Future', but it can't be helped in thinking Klaxons are old news before Myths reaches the shelves.
Someone who is, however taking people by surprise is Mika the new singer songwriter on the block whos not scared of a little happiness. Saying happiness, its true that Mika appears to be the solo outing from the Scissor Sisters but his debut single 'Grace Kelly' is one of the most upbeat tracks of the year.

Then theres Patrick Wolf a man in a world of his own who seems to have moved on from the brilliantly gloomy 'Wind in the Wires' by turning 'Accident and Emergency' into one of the most pop tunes of 2006. 'The Magic Position' is set to melt many hearts as we see the fun side of Patrick.

Who knew the most anticipated record of 2006 would be an ensemble of death ridden Canadians? Yet music lovers everywhere were biting their nails in nervous waiting as they downloaded 'Bad Wave/ Bad Vibrations' on Boxing Day. At the rate things are currently progressing it seems everyone will have heard Neon Bible by the time March comes around but will it stop the madness surrounding Arcade Fire? I doubt it.April
After the double blow of 'I'm Wide Awake Its Morning' and 'Digital Ash in a Digital Urn' Conor Oberst insists this non political album Cassadaga is really about communicating to the dead.
